Serving at Mass and other liturgies is an important role because the server is assisting, not just the priest, but the whole worshipping community. Hence, altar servers are called to be aware of their role and their responsibility in performing it well.

Ushers assist the faithful before and during Mass, taking up the collection and distributing bulletins after Masses.

Lectors are readers, who proclaim the Word of God at liturgies. All new lectors will have a training session prior to being assigned.

Greeters welcome parishioners and visitors to the parish before Mass. These are the first faces our parishioners and visitors see when they enter the church for Mass.

We hope to provide a welcoming, joyful entrance to our church through greeters who reach out to open doors and say, "Hello!" to all who enter.

Sacred Music is a vital component of the Holy Mass.

Participating in music ministry allows the lay faithful the opportunity to share their God-given talent with the parish.  There are many ways to be involved; whether by cantoring, singing in one of our choirs or by playing an instrument.  "...the gifts we have we are given to share ..."

Adult Choir:

This is a 4-part choir that leads the music at Mass two times a year: Christmas Eve and all of Holy Week.  The choir practices once a week for 6-8 weeks prior to these Holy Day Masses.  You don't have to read music to be a part of choir ... we'll teach you!  This group is open to everyone!

Ensemble:

This ensemble leads the music once a month at the 10 a.m. Mass. This small choir sings throughout the year, and is also a good fit for those who play guitar or other instruments.

Accompanists:

Organists/Pianists are a vital part of our ministry and provide the music that leads the congregation in worship at our Masses.  Accompanists should possess intermediate to advanced piano playing skills, and be able to lead confidently.

Instrumentalists:

Whatever you play...from the trumpet to the tambourine...there's a place for you in our music ministry.  The addition of a flute, clarinet, violin, guitar, etc. adds beauty to our liturgies.  If you play an instrument of any kind, please prayerfully consider sharing your talent with our parish.

Many things need to be done before liturgy can take place. This is often done by a parishioner in the role of Sacristan. The sacristan is a member of the parish who is ultimately responsible for the material preparations for all liturgical services at the church. The sacristan has the humble but necessary responsibility of preparing the altar and worship space for the priest to properly and prayerfully celebrate the Mass and for the congregation to participate. Duties include preparing the Holy Eucharist for the celebration of the Mass (this includes readying the wine, water, and bread and putting them in place for the start of Mass, setting up the church, assisting the altar servers, and cleaning the holy materials after Mass.
